Daehyun Q4 profit falls YOY

4915798 said its fourth-quarter normalized net income came to 109.90 South Korean won per share, compared with 109.14 won per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 4.87 billion won, a decline from 4.99 billion won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 5.4% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to 89.64 billion won from 86.02 billion won, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 81.20 billion won from 77.93 billion won.

Reported net income declined 15.5% from the prior-year period to 5.82 billion won, or 131.38 won per share, from 6.88 billion won, or 150.67 won per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 196.21 won per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 1,089.67 won.

EPS rose 61.7% from 121.33 won in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 8.69 billion won, a rise of 61.6% from 5.38 billion won in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 7.9% on an annual basis to 280.17 billion won from 259.57 billion won, and total operating expenses increased 5.9% on an annual basis to 264.11 billion won from 249.47 billion won.

The company said reported net income rose on an annual basis to 46.88 billion won, or 1,058.62 won per share, in the full year, from 8.29 billion won, or 187.00 won per share.
