Hanssem Co. Ltd. said its fourth-quarter normalized net income amounted to 1,518.34 South Korean won per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 1,796.91 won per share.
EPS rose 17.3% year over year from 1,294.36 won.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 27.45 billion won, a gain of 17.2% from 23.41 billion won in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 5.9% from 6.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 23.7% on an annual basis to 467.58 billion won from 377.87 billion won, and total operating expenses grew 23.4% from the prior-year period to 426.37 billion won from 345.54 billion won.
Reported net income rose 23.0% from the prior-year period to 32.23 billion won, or 1,782.68 won per share, from 26.21 billion won, or 1,448.84 won per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 5,356.49 won per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 5,506.67 won.
EPS rose 32.5% from 4,042.32 won in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 96.84 billion won, an increase of 32.5% from 73.09 billion won in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 29.1% year over year to 1.711 trillion won from 1.325 trillion won, and total operating expenses grew 28.7% year over year to 1.564 trillion won from 1.215 trillion won.
The company said reported net income grew 32.3% year over year to 114.66 billion won, or 6,341.89 won per share, in the full year, from 86.66 billion won, or 4,793.00 won per share.
