Greenpower Energy exercises option to acquire 3 historical gold mines

Greenpower Energy Ltd. exercised the option to acquire the past-producing Camel Creek, Golden Cup and Big Rush gold mines at the Golden Ant project in Northern Queensland, Australia.

The company said Aug. 15 that it plans to complete an interim JORC-compliant resource, obtain environmental approvals, and kick off resource and extension drilling at the project.

Greenpower secured the option in mid-May to acquire the mines from Q-Generate Pty. Ltd.

The Golden Ant project consists of 11 granted mining leases, and the company recently applied for additional ground surrounding the Big Rush area. The new exploration permit at Big Rush covers 301 square kilometers.
