H2O Retailing Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥20.18 per share, a decrease from ¥21.20 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.10 billion, a gain from ¥2.07 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.6% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell on an annual basis to ¥128.00 billion from ¥129.83 billion, and total operating expenses fell year over year to ¥125.11 billion from ¥127.14 billion.
Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to ¥11.95 billion, or ¥114.54 per share, from ¥1.87 billion, or ¥19.20 per share.
As of Aug. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.37.
