Reckitt Benckiser Group H1 profit climbs 14.1% YOY

Reckitt Benckiser Group plc said its normalized net income for the first half amounted to 93 Great British pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of £1.09 per share.

EPS increased 15.8% year over year from 80 pence.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £666.8 million, an increase of 14.1% from £584.4 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to £4.57 billion from £4.36 billion, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to £3.49 billion from £3.40 billion.

Reported net income fell 25.8% year over year to £526.0 million, or 73 pence per share, from £708.9 million, or 98 pence per share.
