Bank of England appoints external members to Financial Policy Committee

The Bank of England appointed Colette Bowe and Jayne-Anne Gadhia as external members of its Financial Policy Committee for three-year terms.

The two will replace Richard Sharp and Martin Taylor, who will step down in the first and second quarter, respectively. Gadhia will take up her role in time for the committee's second-quarter meetings, while Bowe will join in time for the third-quarter round of meetings.

Bowe is chairman of the Banking Standards Board and Gadhia was most recently CEO of Virgin Money Holdings (UK) PLC.
