Tokyo Dome fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Tokyo Dome Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended April 30 was ¥7.40 per share, a decline of 37.4% from ¥11.83 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥705.6 million, a decline of 37.5% from ¥1.13 billion in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 4.0% from 6.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 6.4% year over year to ¥17.64 billion from ¥18.84 billion, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥16.07 billion from ¥16.60 billion.

Reported net income declined 62.8% year over year to ¥777.0 million, or ¥8.15 per share, from ¥2.09 billion, or ¥21.91 per share.
