Report: Blackstone eyes sale of NYC office building for more than $800M

Blackstone Group Inc. has put the 36-story Park Avenue Tower in New York City on the block for more than $800 million, The Real Deal reported, citing a source familiar with the building.

The private equity giant, through its Equity Office unit, reportedly hired Eastdil Secured to market the 622,000-square-foot office tower.

The property at 65 East 55th St., which Equity Office bought for $750 million in 2014, underwent a $120 million renovation over the past five years.

A Blackstone representative could not be reached immediately for a comment, according to the publication.
