Credit Suisse hires UBS veteran as vice chair of EMEA i-bank

Credit Suisse Group AG appointed James Palmer vice chairman of its investment banking and capital markets division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Financial Times reported Oct. 17, citing an internal memo confirmed by a spokesperson.

Palmer, who was most recently head of equity capital markets for the Americas at UBS Group AG, will start at Credit Suisse in November and work out of London. He had been with UBS since 1996.
