Orinoco Gold Ltd. said June 6 that it expects to lift force majeure and resume normal activities at its Cascavel gold mine in Brazil on June 9 following the conclusion of the truck drivers' strike in the country and the completion of plant maintenance and repairs.
The miner said first fuel and spare parts to repair two malfunctioning water pumps will arrive at the site at the end of the week.
The gold pour for its May production is scheduled for next week.
