Dutch food retailer Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said June 12 that it repurchased 1,988,317 of its common shares between June 4 and June 8.
The shares were purchased at an average price of €19.86 for a total consideration of €39.5 million.
The buyback was done under a €2 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2017.
Ahold Delhaize repurchased 2,452,429 of its shares between May 28 and June 1 at an average price of €19.65 per share for a total consideration of €48.2 million.
Under the program, a total of 47,118,861 shares have been repurchased to date, for a total consideration of €882.8 million.
