Japan Tobacco Inc. Dec. 14 posted a 6.7% year-over-year decline in domestic sales for the month of November.
The Tokyo-based company's sales during the month totaled ¥39.2 billion, down from ¥42 billion in November 2017.
The company sold 6.1 billion cigarettes in November, compared to 7 billion cigarettes sold in the same period a year ago.
In October, the company reported a 30.8% year-over-year drop in domestic cigarette sales.
For the first 11 months of the year, Japan Tobacco's domestic cigarette revenue came in at ¥453 billion, down 10.3% from ¥505.2 billion in the year-ago period.
