Consolidated Edison Development Inc. has purchased Juhl Energy Services Inc. and three of its key assets from Juhl Energy Inc., according to a Jan. 19 news release.
The Consolidated Edison Inc. subsidiary acquired interests in a portfolio of three operating wind projects totaling 36 MW in Minnesota and Iowa, interests in a pipeline of wind projects totaling 500 MW in the MidWest, and an operating and maintenance services business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Con Edison Development said the acquisition will expand its presence in the Midwest. According to SNL Energy, an offering of S&P Global Market Intelligence, Con Edison Development currently owns wind energy facilities in California, Nebraska and South Dakota.
