Fresenius scraps plans to sell blood transfusion unit

A Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA spokesman said the company dropped plans to sell its blood transfusion business, Reuters reported.

The spokesman said the company decided to keep the unit after exploring various options for the business.

In May, the German healthcare group was reported to have approached potential buyers for the unit and hired Goldman Sachs to facilitate the deal.
