Deckers Outdoor Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to $3.82 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $4.75 per share.
In the prior-year period, the per-share result came in at a profit of $3.83.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $125.4 million, a decrease of 5.9% from $133.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 15.8% from 17.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to $795.9 million from $784.7 million, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to $593.4 million from $570.1 million.
Reported net income totaled $157.0 million, or $4.78 per share, compared to $156.8 million, or $4.50 per share, in the year-earlier period.
