Hasbro Inc. said Aug. 20 that it will phase out all plastic from the packaging of its new products starting in 2020.
The initiative will affect new product packaging, including polybags, elastic bands, shrink wrap, window sheets and blister packs. Hasbro intends to complete the phase-out by the end of 2022.
"Removing plastic from our packaging is the latest advancement in our more than decade-long journey to create a more sustainable future for our business and our world," Chairman and CEO Brian Goldner said in a statement.
