CP All profit misses consensus by 24.2% in Q3

CP ALL Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the third quarter was 28 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 36 satang per share.

EPS climbed 20.6% year over year from 23 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.47 billion baht, an increase of 20.6% from 2.05 billion baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 2.5% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 9.9% on an annual basis to 99.99 billion baht from 91.01 billion baht, and total operating expenses rose 9.8% from the prior-year period to 93.97 billion baht from 85.56 billion baht.

Reported net income rose 20.8% year over year to 3.26 billion baht, or 36 satang per share, from 2.70 billion baht, or 30 satang per share.
