Supermarket operator Kesko Oyj opened the first two stores of Hehku, the company's beauty and wellness store concept, at the Forum shopping center in Helsinki and in Koivukylä, Vantaa, European Supermarket Magazine reported Jan. 26.
Kesko is reportedly opening the stores in partnership with pharmaceutical company Oriola Oyj to create the biggest well-being store chain in Finland. Kesko has a plan to open 100 Hehku stores in the coming years, the report added.
The report said that 30 Hehku outlets are set to launch in 2018, citing Hehku Managing Director Tuomas Mattelmäki. The company will open five stores in February and seven stores in March.
Kesko has also launched an online portal for Hehku, where it offers almost 10,000 products to over 2,000 pickup points in Finland.
