Piramal Enterprises to sell healthcare insights unit to Clarivate Analytics

Piramal Enterprises Ltd. agreed to sell its healthcare insights and analytics business to Clarivate Analytics PLC for $950 million.

The unit being sold, Decision Resources Group, offers consultation, proprietary data and technology services to healthcare providers.

The sale price includes a $900 million payment on closing, with the remaining $50 million to be paid a year later.

Mumbai-based Piramal expects the deal, which is subject to shareholder approval, to conclude by the end of February.
