Nordic Mining secures 10-year extension for rutile extraction permits

Nordic Mining ASA on Jan. 23 said its subsidiary, Nordic Rutile AS, received a 10-year extension on extraction permits for the company's Engebo rutile project in Norway, effective Nov. 12.

The permits will now expire Nov. 12, 2027.

The Norwegian Directorate of Mining granted the extension, acknowledging that an extension was needed to carry out the ongoing feasibility work program at the project.

Nordic Mining is carrying out a pre-feasibility study, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter.
