Indian Sucrose posts fiscal Q2 loss

Indian Sucrose Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30, 2014, came to a loss of 22.4 million rupees.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin was 4.9%.

Total revenue totaled 455.3 million rupees, and total operating expenses totaled 439.4 million rupees.

Reported net income came to a loss of 33.7 million rupees, or a loss of 1.65 rupees per share.

As of Jan. 6, US$1 was equivalent to 63.33 Indian rupees.
