Vestas to supply 33 MW of turbines for German wind project

Vestas Wind Systems A/S secured a 33-MW wind turbine order from German municipal utility enercity Erneuerbare GmbH.

The turbines are for a project to be developed on a former coal surface mining areas in the Brandenburg region of Eastern Germany. Under the agreement, Vestas will deliver, install and commission 10 Vestas turbines for the Klettwitz III B.A. 2.2 project and provide service for 15 years.

The turbines are scheduled to be delivered in late 2019 and early 2020. The project is an extension of the existing Klettwitz park and is expected to generate 95 MWh of electricity annually.
