China United Property partners with Tencent's WeSure to sell health insurance

China United Property Insurance Co. Ltd. said Aug. 6 it signed a cooperation agreement with Tencent Holdings Ltd.'s insurance broker unit WeSure on offering commercial health insurance products.

China United Property said the agreement was signed in Beijing on Aug. 1. The property and casualty insurance underwriter added there is great potential in China's health insurance market.

WeSure started operations in November 2017 and partners with insurance underwriters to sell insurance products through WeChat and QQ, Tencent's social media platforms.
