Fortistar to acquire 72-MW combined-cycle facility in New York

Fortistar LLCsigned a deal with Castleton Energy Center LLC to acquire the 72-MW combined-cycle,natural gas-fired power plant in Rensselaer County, N.Y.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed in thecompany's April 27 release. The plant dispatches into the NYISOZone F.

Fortistar owns and operates two other combined-cycle,natural gas-fired plants in New York: the 221-MW Lockport facility and the 55-MW facility.

Scotia Capital served as exclusive financial advisor toCastleton Energy Center.

Castleton Energy Center is a portfolio company owned by aprivate investment fund and managed by WayzataInvestment Partners LLC.
