Eurozone construction output falls for 3rd straight month in March

Eurozone construction output fell by 0.3% month over month in March on a seasonally adjusted basis after decreasing by an upwardly revised 0.7% in February, Eurostat said.

Building construction was down 0.3% from February and civil engineering declined by 0.2%.

Construction output rose by 0.8% in March from a year earlier after a 0.2% year-over-year increase in February as building construction increased by 2.4% and civil engineering fell by 4.2%.

Total construction declined by 0.4% in the first quarter of 2018 after rising by 0.9% in the previous quarter.
