ATOM Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥2.87 per share, an increase from ¥2.75 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥549.4 million, an increase of 9.6% from ¥501.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 4.3% from 4.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 7.2% year over year to ¥12.78 billion from ¥11.92 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 7.0% year over year to ¥11.89 billion from ¥11.11 billion.
Reported net income came to ¥219.0 million, or ¥1.14 per share, compared to a loss of ¥33.0 million, or a loss of 23 sen per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥10.89 per share, an increase of 5.7% from ¥10.30 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥2.09 billion, an increase of 5.7% from ¥1.97 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 12.2% on an annual basis to ¥50.52 billion from ¥45.02 billion, and total operating expenses increased 12.8% year over year to ¥47.23 billion from ¥41.88 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 26.2% on an annual basis to ¥1.28 billion, or ¥6.66 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.01 billion, or ¥5.27 per share.
As of June 17, US$1 was equivalent to ¥124.24.
