Bank of the Ozarks concludes overdraft fees lawsuit

Little Rock, Ark.-based Bank of the Ozarks said it has ended a legal battle concerning overdraft fees.

In its most-recent Form 10-K, Bank of the Ozarks said a court entered a final order and approved the terms of a negotiated settlement on Nov. 13, 2017.

In 2011, Robert Walker, Ann Hines and Judith Belk filed the suit in the Circuit Court of Lonoke County, Ark. In 2012, another defendant, Audrey Muzingo, joined the class-action lawsuit.

Bank of the Ozarks said no appeal has been filed since the court confirmed the negotiated settlement, meaning that the case has concluded. The company did not provide the terms of the settlement, but said it would "not have a material adverse effect" on its financial condition, results of operations or liquidity.
