Semba Tohka Industries Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to ¥8.35 per share, a decrease from ¥8.56 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥95.0 million, a decrease from ¥97.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 2.2% from 2.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 8.7% on an annual basis to ¥4.42 billion from ¥4.06 billion, and total operating expenses rose 9.5% from the prior-year period to ¥4.27 billion from ¥3.90 billion.
Reported net income rose 18.8% year over year to ¥120.0 million, or ¥10.54 per share, from ¥101.0 million, or ¥8.87 per share.
