Tata Motors' global wholesales climb 14% YOY in August

India's Tata Motors Ltd. reported Sept. 10 that group global wholesales were up 14% year over year in August.

The growth was supported by wholesales of the automaker's commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range, which Tata Motors said were up 29% year over year to 45,719 units.

The company also posted passenger vehicle wholesales totaling 61,328 units, 4% higher than a year ago.

For the Jaguar Land Rover unit, wholesales came in at 42,658 units for the month, comprising 14,209 Jaguar-brand vehicles and 28,449 Land Rover-brand vehicles.
