Career Point Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 32 Indian paise per share, a decrease of 68.7% from 1.03 rupees per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 5.8 million rupees, a decline of 68.5% from 18.6 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 3.5% from 10.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell year over year to 167.0 million rupees from 169.6 million rupees, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to 167.4 million rupees from 162.3 million rupees.
Reported net income came to a loss of 20.6 million rupees, or a loss of 1.13 rupees per share, compared to income of 18.6 million rupees, or 1.03 rupees per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 61.73 Indian rupees.
