TechnipFMC wins contracts for 2 gas-fired fertilizer complexes in India

Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Ltd., a joint venture company of Indian Oil Corp. Ltd, NTPC Ltd. and Coal India Ltd., awarded TechnipFMC PLC major Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, or EPCC, contracts for two natural gas-based fertilizer complexes in eastern India.

Under the leadership of TechnipFMC, in consortium with L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, a unit of Larsen & Toubro Ltd., the companies will be responsible for licensing, basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning of the complexes located at Barauni in the state of Bihar and in Sindri in the state of Jharkhand, according to a May 22 release.

Both projects are executed on EPCC Lump Sum Turn Key basis and will be carried out concurrently within a 36-month period.
