Sri Ramakrishna Mills fiscal Q3 loss widens 59.9% YOY

4910986 said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to a loss of 1.51 Indian rupees per share, compared with a loss of 94 paise per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 10.7 million rupees, compared with a loss of 6.7 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 29.1% from negative 23.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 27.3% on an annual basis to 36.9 million rupees from 29.0 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 41.8% year over year to 48.2 million rupees from 34.0 million rupees.

Reported net income came to a loss of 17.2 million rupees, or a loss of 2.41 rupees per share, compared to a loss of 10.7 million rupees, or a loss of 1.51 rupees per share, in the prior-year period.
