Centric Health Corp. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to a loss of 1 Canadian cents per share, compared with a loss of 3 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of C$1.7 million, compared with a loss of C$4.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 3.7% from negative 9.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to C$43.3 million from C$41.5 million, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to C$42.3 million from C$41.8 million.
Reported net income totaled a loss of C$11.4 million, or a loss of 7 cents per share, compared to a loss of C$7.8 million, or a loss of 5 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
