Buffalo, N.Y.-based biopharmaceutical company Athenex Inc. appointed Benson Tsang as a board member.

The cancer therapy developer said the appointment is effective July 1, the same day James Zukin steps down from the board.

Tsang, who has over three decades of financial and general management experience, is the former CFO of WuXi Pharmatech Inc.

Tsang currently provides financial and operational advisory services through his consultancy firm to clients in the USA, Canada and China, Athenex said in a statement.
