H&M opens 1st New Zealand flagship store

H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB opened its first flagship store in New Zealand, the New Zealand Herald reported Aug. 30.

The four-story, 3,500-square-meter store is located in downtown Auckland. It is the fourth outlet of the Swedish retailer to open in the country, but it is the first of them to offer H&M's homeware products.

The flagship is also the first store to open in the NZ$1 billion Commercial Bay development, with other retailers not set to launch stores there until September 2019, the report said.

As of Aug. 30, US$1 was equivalent to NZ$1.51.
