Australian union group takes Sydney site on the block for north of A$100M

Australian union group United Voice is selling the site at 187 Thomas St. in Sydney's Chinatown in Haymarket for more than A$100 million, The Australian Financial Review reported.

The 2,351-square-meter site has a fully leased building, which houses the union's offices. It can yield a total gross floor area of 23,275 square meters based on the ratio of permissible floor area and space, according to the report.

The publication noted Jan. 31 that the future owner of the property would likely benefit from new transport that will be brought about by the A$3 billion redevelopment of the nearby Central railway.
