Lucapa rakes in US$10.0M in sale of diamonds from Lulo mine

Lucapa Diamond Co. Ltd. said June 3 that it raked in US$10.0 million in revenue from the sale of 5,573 carats of run-of-mine diamonds from its 40%-owned Lulo mine in Angola, representing an average price of US$1,800 per carat.

The latest sale brought total sales from Lulo in the first half to US$22.1 million, at an average price of US$3,668 per carat.

In late May, the miner generated US$3.5 million in revenue from the second tender of diamonds from the Mothae mine in Lesotho.
