Pinnacle Asset Management acquires wholesale gas trading business from Sierentz

New York-based asset management firm Pinnacle Asset Management LP announced the acquisition of Sierentz Global Merchants LLC's North American natural gas wholesale trading business.

The newly acquired business, to be known as Six One Commodities, will be led by Ben Sutton as CEO. Sutton most recently served as head of North American Gas and Power for Noble Americas Corp., according to a Sept. 6 news release.

"The addition of a fully operational natural gas and power wholesale trading business enables Pinnacle to hit the ground running as we continue to build out our diversified, global, physical commodity merchant platform," said Jason Kellman, Pinnacle's managing partner and chief investment officer.
