Salvatore Ferragamo SpA was awarded $60 million after a New York court ruled against 60 unidentified holders of illegal online profiles that sold counterfeit products.
The Italian luxury goods company said March 19 that the award includes the transfer to Ferragamo of about 150 domains that belong to the defendants.
In 2017, the group said it removed over 35,000 items and illegal profiles from social media sites and either intercepted, blocked or deleted about 69,000 counterfeit products from online auctions as part of its anti-counterfeiting measures.
