Soft99 fiscal Q3 profit climbs 5.1% YOY

Soft99 Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥19.63 per share, an increase from ¥18.74 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥426.3 million, an increase of 5.1% from ¥405.6 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 7.5% from 7.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew year over year to ¥5.66 billion from ¥5.60 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥5.03 billion, compared with ¥5.00 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to ¥438.0 million, or ¥20.17 per share, from ¥204.0 million, or ¥9.42 per share.

As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.28.
