Former SandRidge CEO leaves board

Former SandRidge Energy Inc. President and CEO James Bennett tendered his resignation from the company's board on March 10. His resignation was accepted the same day, according to a March 12 SEC filing.

Bennett was terminated from his post as president and CEO on Feb. 8. Bill Griffin, who serves as an independent director, stepped in as interim president and CEO while retaining his seat on the board as the company reviews candidates for the position.

SandRidge Energy is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company with a focus in the U.S. Mid-Continent and Niobrara Shale.
