Wind Point Partners, formally known as Wind Point Advisors LLC, secured a $100 million commitment from the Minnesota State Investment Board for its ninth flagship fund, Private Equity International reported, citing pension documents received by the news outlet.
The North American middle-market private equity firm, which is looking to raise $1.2 billion for the latest fund, has been careful with its fund sizes and cautious in returning to the market with successive funds, according to a source familiar with the fundraising.
The Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System also injected $75 million into the investment vehicle, according to data from the news outlet.
Wind Point did not answer requests for comment, according to the report.
