C'bon Cosmetics Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥33.42 per share, a decline of 25.6% from ¥44.94 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥134.4 million, a decrease of 26.1% from ¥181.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 3.6% from 5.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥3.70 billion from ¥3.62 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 4.9% on an annual basis to ¥3.50 billion from ¥3.34 billion.
Reported net income declined 16.1% from the prior-year period to ¥135.0 million, or ¥33.57 per share, from ¥161.0 million, or ¥39.78 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
