Ardian, OX2 select 5-MW Nordex turbines for Swedish wind farm

Private investment house Ardian and Nordic developer OX2 have opted to use a more powerful class of Nordex SE turbines at their 286-MW Åndberg wind project in Sweden.

The two companies have signed an agreement with Nordex for the installation of 5-MW machines, instead of the previously booked 4-MW turbines.

The project, under construction in the province of Härjedalen, was sold to Ardian in February 2019. It is expected to be completed in 2021 and to generate over 800 GWh of electricity per year.
