Thermo Fisher asks shareholders to reject TRC Capital's mini-tender offer

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. urged its stockholders to reject an unsolicited mini-tender offer by TRC Capital Corp. for about 0.249% of Thermo Fisher's outstanding common stock.

TRC offered to buy up to 1 million common shares of Thermo Fisher at $181.75 apiece.

Thermo Fisher recommended the investors to not tender their shares because the offer valued the company at below its current market price.

The offer price is about 4.43% lower than the $190.17 closing price of Thermo Fisher's common stock Nov. 17.
