Kames Capital CEO to step down

Kames Capital Plc CEO Martin Davis is stepping down after six years in the role, Financial News reported.

The U.K.-based fund manager's chief investment officer, Stephen Jones, will serve as interim CEO until a successor to Davis is appointed.

Meanwhile, Aegon Asset Management global CEO Bas NieuweWeme will take over Davis' responsibilities as head of AAM Europe, according to the report.

Kames Capital is part of Aegon Asset Management, a unit of Dutch insurance group Aegon NV.
