LG partners with Silicon Valley startup Landing AI

South Korea consumer electronics company LG Electronics Inc. is partnering with Silicon Valley startup Landing.AI to enhance the artificial intelligence capabilities of LG products, according to a Jan. 8 news release.

The companies signed a partnership agreement at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 in Las Vegas.

Landing.AI provides AI-powered software-as-a-service, solutions and corporate-level AI transformation programs for companies. The startup was founded by Andrew Ng, the founding lead of Google LLC's Google Brain deep learning AI research team and the former chief scientist at Chinese internet search provider Baidu Inc.

Under the deal between LG and Landing AI, the companies will also develop collaborative business models.
