Daniel Thwaites fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Daniel Thwaites PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was £3.6 million, a rise from £312,500 in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue increased year over year to £41.8 million from £40.1 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to £35.3 million from £34.7 million.

Reported net income totaled £4.2 million, or 7 pence per share, compared to a loss of £300,000, or a loss of 1 pence per share, in the year-earlier period.
