Tokai Senko KK said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥40.25 per share, an increase of 20.4% from ¥33.43 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥137.1 million, an increase of 20.2% from ¥114.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 2.9% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 16.6% year over year to ¥4.80 billion from ¥4.12 billion, and total operating expenses grew 16.0% from the prior-year period to ¥4.46 billion from ¥3.85 billion.
Reported net income grew 31.1% year over year to ¥211.0 million, or ¥61.93 per share, from ¥161.0 million, or ¥47.16 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥105.15 per share, an increase of 31.5% from ¥79.98 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥358.3 million, a rise of 30.9% from ¥273.8 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 6.0% on an annual basis to ¥16.34 billion from ¥15.42 billion, and total operating expenses grew 5.4% year over year to ¥15.58 billion from ¥14.78 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 31.3% year over year to ¥461.0 million, or ¥135.31 per share, in the full year, from ¥351.0 million, or ¥102.55 per share.
As of June 29, US$1 was equivalent to ¥122.67.
