Booking Holdings names 2 new directors

Shareholders of Booking Holdings Inc. on June 7 voted to elect two new directors to the board of the Connecticut-based online travel service provider, according to a June 8 SEC filing.

Mirian Graddick-Weir and Nick Read were elected as directors to serve until the next annual general meeting.

Graddick-Weir is the executive vice president of human resources at New Jersey-based pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. Inc., while Read is the CFO of Vodafone Group PLC.

The company also disclosed that effective June 7, Jeffery Boyd returned to being a nonexecutive chairman of the board and therefore is no longer an employee or officer of Booking Holdings. Boyd had been executive board chairman since January 2017.

The shareholders also ratified the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31.
